OGG (Ogg Vorbis audio)

Ogg is an open, patent-free container format maintained by the Xiph.Org Foundation. An .ogg or .oga audio file usually contains sound compressed with the lossy Vorbis codec, though it can also hold Opus or FLAC. Vorbis offers good quality at moderate bitrates and is used in many video games and by some streaming services.

Use OGG when you want an open, royalty-free format for games, open-source software or web audio in browsers that support it. For maximum compatibility with Apple devices and car stereos, MP3 or AAC are the safer choice.
