Convert TIFF to JPG

Convert TIFF images to JPG in seconds, right in your browser. No upload, no signup and no watermark. You can adjust the quality before converting.

Your file never leaves your device.

How to convert TIFF to JPG

The TIFF is decoded on your device and re-encoded as JPG with the browser's own graphics engine. Because nothing is uploaded, even dozens of photos convert quickly and privately. JPG is the most compatible image format in the world: every phone, computer, website and printer accepts it.

  1. Step 1: Choose your TIFF file

Drag and drop a .tiff, .tif file onto the converter or click to browse. It works on desktop, tablet and phone.

  2. Step 2: Pick the quality (optional)

Keep the recommended setting or adjust it, then the conversion runs instantly.

  3. Step 3: Download the JPG

Save each result individually, or download everything as a single ZIP when you convert several files.

Good to know

  • JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white.
  • If the TIFF is animated, the first frame is converted.
  • JPG is a lossy format; the quality setting balances file size and sharpness (85-92% is visually lossless for most photos).
  • Multi-page TIFF files convert their first page.
  • Photo metadata (EXIF, GPS location) is removed from the converted image, which is good for privacy.

Why use this TIFF to JPG converter?

  • Batch conversion: drop several images at once and download a ZIP.
  • Nothing is uploaded, so personal photos stay private.
  • Original resolution is kept.
  • No watermark, no account, no app to install.

Is it free?

Yes. Converting TIFF to JPG is free, with no watermark, signup or email required. Local conversions have no artificial file-size or daily cap; the practical limit is your device.

Is my file uploaded?

The TIFF file is processed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded, never stored and never seen by anyone, so this is safe for confidential files.

About the formats

What is TIFF?

TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) was created by Aldus in the 1980s and is now maintained by Adobe. It is a flexible container that can store images uncompressed or with lossless compression such as LZW, and also supports layers, multiple pages, high bit depths and CMYK colour. That makes it a staple in print, professional scanning and archiving, at the cost of large files.

Use TIFF when you need maximum quality for printing, scanning documents, archiving originals or passing images between professional editing tools. Browsers generally do not display TIFF, so for the web or email convert it to JPG, PNG or WebP.

What is JPG?

JPG, or JPEG, is an image format named after the Joint Photographic Experts Group, which created the standard in the early 1990s. It uses lossy compression that discards detail the eye barely notices, so photos take up far less space. It does not support transparency or animation, and every time you re-save a JPG it can lose a little more quality.

Use JPG for photographs and images with smooth colour gradients that you want to share, upload or email at a small size. Avoid it for logos, screenshots with text or anything that needs a transparent background; PNG handles those better.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is TIFF to JPG conversion free?

Yes. It is free, with no watermark, signup or email required. Local conversions have no artificial file-size or daily cap; the practical limit is your device.

Will converting TIFF to JPG reduce quality?

JPG uses lossy compression, but at the default quality the difference is not visible for normal use. Raise the quality setting for print or detailed graphics.

Is the image resolution changed?

No. The JPG keeps the exact width and height of the original. Use the Resize Image tool if you need smaller dimensions.

Is it safe to convert tiff to jpg here?

Yes. The work happens on your own device with WebAssembly and browser APIs, so the file is not uploaded at all. You can even disconnect from the internet once the page has loaded.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in a modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android and iOS. There is no app, plugin or account.
