How to convert HEIC to JPG
The HEIC is decoded on your device and re-encoded as JPG with the browser's own graphics engine and a WebAssembly HEIC decoder. Because nothing is uploaded, even dozens of photos convert quickly and privately. JPG is the most compatible image format in the world: every phone, computer, website and printer accepts it.
Step 1: Choose your HEIC file
Drag and drop a .heic, .heif file onto the converter or click to browse. It works on desktop, tablet and phone.
Step 2: Pick the quality (optional)
Keep the recommended setting or adjust it, then the conversion runs instantly.
Step 3: Download the JPG
Save each result individually, or download everything as a single ZIP when you convert several files.
Good to know
- JPG is a lossy format; the quality setting balances file size and sharpness (85-92% is visually lossless for most photos).
- HEIC is the default photo format on iPhone and iPad. Converting it makes photos open on Windows, Android and every website.
- Photo metadata (EXIF, GPS location) is removed from the converted image, which is good for privacy.
Why use this HEIC to JPG converter?
- Batch conversion: drop several images at once and download a ZIP.
- Nothing is uploaded, so personal photos stay private.
- Original resolution is kept.
- No watermark, no account, no app to install.
Is it free?
Yes. Converting HEIC to JPG is free, with no watermark, signup or email required. Local conversions have no artificial file-size or daily cap; the practical limit is your device.
Is my file uploaded?
The HEIC file is processed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded, never stored and never seen by anyone, so this is safe for confidential files.
About the formats
What is HEIC?
HEIC is Apple's name for images stored in HEIF (High Efficiency Image File Format) and compressed with the HEVC (H.265) codec. iPhones and iPads have used it as their default photo format since iOS 11. It typically delivers similar quality to JPG at a noticeably smaller size and can hold extras such as depth maps, Live Photos and image sequences.
HEIC is a good choice for storing photos on Apple devices, where it saves space without visible loss. When you share photos with Windows users, older software or websites that do not accept HEIC, converting them to JPG is the easiest way to avoid compatibility problems.
HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container)What is JPG?
JPG, or JPEG, is an image format named after the Joint Photographic Experts Group, which created the standard in the early 1990s. It uses lossy compression that discards detail the eye barely notices, so photos take up far less space. It does not support transparency or animation, and every time you re-save a JPG it can lose a little more quality.
Use JPG for photographs and images with smooth colour gradients that you want to share, upload or email at a small size. Avoid it for logos, screenshots with text or anything that needs a transparent background; PNG handles those better.

Yes. It is free, with no watermark, signup or email required. Local conversions have no artificial file-size or daily cap; the practical limit is your device.
Will converting HEIC to JPG reduce quality?
JPG uses lossy compression, but at the default quality the difference is not visible for normal use. Raise the quality setting for print or detailed graphics.
Is the image resolution changed?
No. The JPG keeps the exact width and height of the original. Use the Resize Image tool if you need smaller dimensions.
