How to convert PPT to ODP

This converter opens the PPT with LibreOffice and saves it as ODP, preserving text, styles, tables and images as faithfully as possible. It is the quickest way to open an incompatible file or to meet a format requirement without installing an office suite.
Step 1: Choose your PPT file
Drag and drop a .ppt, .pps, .pot file onto the converter or click to browse. It works on desktop, tablet and phone.
Step 2: Convert to ODP
The file is uploaded securely and saved as ODP by LibreOffice in a temporary, isolated folder.
Step 3: Download the ODP
Save the ODP file to your device. You can start again with another file right away.

About the formats
What is PPT?
PPT is the binary presentation format used by Microsoft PowerPoint up to version 2003. A single file holds slides, text, images, charts, speaker notes and transitions. Related extensions are .pps, which opens directly as a slideshow, and .pot, used for templates. Since PowerPoint 2007 the default is the XML-based PPTX.
Use PPT only for compatibility with very old versions of PowerPoint or with legacy systems that require it. For new presentations, PPTX is lighter and more reliable, and PDF is the safest way to share slides that nobody needs to edit.
PPT (PowerPoint 97-2003 presentation)What is ODP?
ODP is the presentation format of the OpenDocument standard (ODF), an open, ISO-standardised format. It is the native format of LibreOffice Impress and Apache OpenOffice Impress. An ODP file is a ZIP archive containing XML, with slides, images, notes and transitions. PowerPoint and Google Slides can open it, although complex animations may not look identical.
Use ODP when you create presentations in LibreOffice or need an open format for archiving or public-sector work. If you will present from PowerPoint, PPTX is the safer choice, and PDF is best when the audience only needs to view the slides.
